About Us

THE STORY OF FOREVER ENGLAND SO FAR…

Forever England was founded in 1997 when we opened our first shop in the seaside town of Sidmouth in Devon. Our carefully selected range of individual home accessories, giftware and bedding was a huge success and it was not long before demand required more shops to be opened. Today we also have shops in Wells and Sherborne. All three locations have a loyal following and are always busy due to the unique and ever-changing products available and the hard work of our amazing and dedicated staff who work there. As the shops started to take off, we turned our eye to designing and developing products to meet our customer’s needs for traditional English style goods. Quilted bedspreads quickly became our signature Forever England product and we are proud to be known as the go-to company for having the finest quality and largest ranges in the UK. This was followed by the launch of fashion accessories under our Millie Mae brand and Hector for men. We now have hundreds of styles of hair accessories, plus summer and winter apparel for women and men.

In conjunction with our beautiful shops, we exhibit at many shows around the country throughout the year where we get to meet our loyal customers and welcome new ones. We also supply many other companies with our products including small department stores, gift shops and garden centres. Forever England, Millie Mae and Hector products can now be found in stores across the UK and beyond!

Our HQ is in the beautiful county of Somerset from where everything we create is designed, packed and distributed. The stunning surrounding countryside is a never-ending source of inspiration for our products.

BEHIND THE NAME

We are often asked why we chose the name Forever England. It was taken from Rupert Brooke’s 1914 war sonnet, The Soldier. His love of England is one we very much share and is evident in the design and integrity of our products.

THE SOLDIER

If I should die, think only this of me:

That there's some corner of a foreign field

That is for ever England. There shall be

In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;

A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware,

Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam,

A body of England's, breathing English air,

Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home.

And think, this heart, all evil shed away,

A pulse in the eternal mind, no less

Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England given;

Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day;

And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness,

In hearts at peace, under an English heaven.
